THE UK P2P LENDING REPORT: estimates that the industry may reach the £16 billion mark by 2020!

12th August 2016
Leading financial website Business Insider has reported that the UK P2P industry is set to see a good level of growth over the next four years, despite recent reported setbacks.

When Renaud Laplanche resigned as CEO of Lending Club earlier this year, both critics and sceptics predicted a decline in the industry.

In direct contrast to this, a recent report by Business Insider UK has forecasted a five-year compound annual growth of 45% between 2015 and 2020.

The report also estimates that the industry may even reach the £16 billion mark by 2020 and it has been predicted that property lending will make up for the largest share of P2P activity with business and consumer loans following.
